Quantum of solace game crash

According to Associated Press , a stuntman was seriously injured in a car accident on the set of Quantum of Solace in Limone sul Garda, Italy. He was taken by helicopter to Verona where he underwent surgery and remains in serious condition. The experienced stunt driver crashed an Alfa Romeo into a wall during a chase scene with a truck and Bond's Aston Martin while driving along the Gardensana, a famous, windy road with panoramic views.

A second stuntman in the same car also suffered minor injuries. QOS focuses heavily on throwing enthralling setpieces at you, doing its best to take your attention off the tight, yet generic, gameplay. You'll predominantly play in FPS-mode, but you can 'stick' to cover, flipping to third-person Craig-O-Vision, blind-firing or popping up to shoot.

This isn't badly done, either - many games casually ruin themselves with a shoddy Gears of War -style cover system, but QOS happily copies and refines it In fact, QOS does a great deal right. It looks the part, it controls perfectly well on a keyboard and mouse, and it has some honest-to-God moments of goodness. Treyarch have taken as much as they can from the licence - everything has a slick, gadgety feel, and they even much like EA's Everything or Nothing commissioned a game-only theme song.

The problem, honestly, is that as well as only being a few hours long - six at the very most - nothing QOS does is amazing. There are times when you'll be excited, elated even, by some of the cool things going on around you, but the gameplay and experience, once you lose the initial James Bond veneer, is rather generic.

Overall, the Bond setting makes it fun and the setpieces as utterly linear as they make everything feel do keep Quantum of Solace exciting. It's tight, it's enjoyable, it looks good, and while it sits comfortably under the "Pfft, well it'll never be as good as GoldenEye" umbrella, it's one of the few Bond games that come close to the N64 classic.

This version excludes missions such as "Miami Airport" and "Train", but it adds missions such as "Docks", the Port-au-Prince part of the movie. When playing in Multiplayer, credits are earned based on the number of points acquired.

These are used, in a currency format, to purchase further enhancements and upgrades. These can be spent on unlocking new weapons, explosives, gadgets such as increased health or better accuracy and attachments for weapons. The upgrades can be accumulated in any order, instead of in a set order, and are able to stack.

Players start at points, and can gain or lose points depending how well they played. The points are separate for each game mode, for example: A player can have points in Conflict, and have points in Rush or Team Rush. In May , an official site for the game went live. Currently the site features video, pictures, weapons, story, concept art, and news regarding Quantum of Solace movie and game and more will be added as development continues and the release date nears.

Treyarch has said that multiplayer will be a big part of the game and will reveal the multiplayer for the new Bond game later in the year. Leaked screenshots surfaced in early July. The official trailer appeared online July A single-player demo was released exclusively for the PC on October 6, , sponsored by Coke Zero, which is also featured in the game's pre-awareness online marketing campaign.

The music for the game was written by composer Christopher Lennertz , who recorded the strings for his score overseas, but then recorded brass, percussion and guitar with members of the Hollywood Studio Symphony in Los Angeles at the Capitol Records Studios. The song plays over an opening title sequence in the Bond tradition that is proprietary to the game, but is based on the pre-credits car chase sequence from the film. The PS3 and Xbox versions have received mixed reviews, ranging from average to favorable, the Wii edition has been criticized for frame rate issues and sluggish IR.

The DS version has received average reviews, but has been praised for the unique perspective in which the game is presented. James Bond Wiki Explore. Hunt Tom Mankiewicz. Ken Adam Syd Cain.
