Utah genetic counselor license

Start time: p. Megan Judkins was born and raised on a potato farm in Southern Idaho. She moved to Salt Lake City in and has lived here ever since. She loves the mountains and wide-open spaces of the West. Megan graduated from the University of Utah Genetic Counseling Program in and has worked in both clinical and laboratory genetic counseling roles.

Megan enjoys working on various projects and committees with the University of Utah Genetic Counseling Program. She has worked on the admissions committee, co-directed the Human Genetics course in , and worked on the curriculum planning committee. Megan is passionate about professional development, career planning, and building positive work environments.

Outside of work, Megan and her husband have 4 kids 2 boys and 2 girls and two dogs that keep them very busy. In her free time, Megan is usually working in her garden, going on hikes in the mountains, and enjoying nature as much as possible. She has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Washington University in St.

Louis and a graduate degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Colorado. She is originally from Mexico City, and enjoys handling requests and answering questions from customers that speak Spanish only. She has published numerous scholarly articles in teratology and has provided education and training for hundreds students PharmD and Genetic Counseling and for thousands of health care providers and families. Genome Medical. Lindsay is a board-certified genetic counselor with expertise in cardiovascular genetics and pediatrics. After graduating, she helped develop and implement the cardiovascular genetics service in a hospital-based, pediatric cardiology clinic. She is now a Sr. Manager for Cardiac and Pediatric Services at a telegenetics company and has interests in alternative service delivery models and expanding access to care in these areas. Megan Martin is the Sr.

Director of Clinical Genetic Services at Lineagen. During her graduate education, Ms. Martin completed a year-long leadership development and education program in neurodevelopmental disorders, with a focus in autism LEND program.

She has a passion for helping improve access and awareness about genetic testing in people with neurodevelopmental conditions. In her role as a genetic counselor, Ms. Martin helped many families and physicians understand the impact of genetic testing in personalized care.

Rena began her career in genetic counseling at the University of Utah serving families in both the Pediatric Genetics and Metabolic Genetics Clinics. She has a passion for helping children with neurodevelopmental disabilities — including developmental delay, epilepsy, and autism spectrum disorder — obtain genetic services in an effective and timely fashion.

That passion led her to Lineagen where she has worked for over 11 years, guiding genetic testing and operational protocols, new product launches, and clinical studies among other roles. Rena has been involved with local GC community over the past decade, including active participation in the Association for Utah Genetic Counselors and involvement in the UUGPGC, including previously co-mastering courses, sitting on the Admissions Committee, guest lecturing, and mentoring students.
